You Might Bea Redneck If …

If you go out in the sun without wearing sunscreen and you absorb a lot of solar radiation on the back of your neck, you might be a redneck …
– – – –
If you get in a tanning bed and come out with sunburn on your body ’cause you didn’t use enough sunblock, chances are you might be a redneck …

If you listen to country music and fly a rebel flag everywhere you go and your neck gets burnt from exposure to the sun when you’re out partying with friends while Hank Junior blares in the background, you might be a redneck …

If you have to clean off the roof of your trailer on a hot summer day and you take off your shirt under the hot sun, you might be a redneck …

If you stay out in the sun so long that you contract skin cancer and die, you might be a redneck …

If you tell lame jokes about how "you might be a redneck" for well over a decade and no one wants to hear your newer material, you might be wondering where it all went wrong by now …
Being in Texas, I am totally surrounded by rednecks. They are proud of it!
Too funny! I actually watch that show and crack up so bad each time they give their redneck dictionary definitions…lol…
Hey Jorge!
I wanted to come by and say hi. I haven\’t been at your MSN Space for a VERY long time. My space sometimes works and this I find to be frustrating. Well, I hope that you are doing well! I just got back from a trip to NYC,Philly, and D.C. and I will be travelling again at the end of the week till sometime in August. Summer seems to fill up with events just as we are starting to enjoy the relaxation!
I know of several red-necks – most of them of the kind that have stayed too long out in the sun during the weekend trips to the beach – which means SUMMER is here!
Hugs, Marie
*laughing*! 🙂

Jorge….this is a lovely site. I was just viewing some of your pictures from California and found them delightful. I did a trip a number of years ago ….driving down the Pacific coast and seeing some of the sights brought back wonderful memories. You have a great B&B and I loved the Mendocino Church doors. And the flowers in rain, the coastal mist ect. I saw your comment on Stephzen\’s site and decided to visit. I was enjoying your list of books as well. I loved the "Namesake." This was a pleasant morning read. Thank you. Bittersweet on the hill.
I guess I\’m just a party-pooper, Jorge; I\’ve never found redneck jokes amusing. I HAVE a sense of humor–I just don\’t find ignorence and laziness funny.
Just a Marge thing, I guess.
I hope you\’re having a great summer!
Peace and love, always…
Marge

Good Evening Jorge,
These are hilarious. Thank you for the laughs on this weekend "eve".
The photos of some of my gardens turned out better than I expected. LOL. I am such an amateur photographer. Glad you enjoyed them.
Have a most wonderful weekend, my Friend.
Until next time..Keep Smiling.

I just spent some time wandering through all of your photos again and I can\’t tell you how much I enjoy "traveling" with you. You take pictures of so many things that interest me, especially unique windows and doors. That lighthouse at Point Arena would be a lovely subject for a painting, too. All the gorgeous landscapes are just brilliant. I would so love to be able to travel and to paint some of these things, but since I can\’t, I thank you for the trips! Keep \’em coming, Jorge… they are so wonderful!
Hugs,
MuMo
haha..:-)
im well, J
hope you are fine too.
Thank you.
Hope this finds you Smiling, Jorge. Just wanted to stop by briefly and let you know that the very last photo in my latest album was inadvertantly left out until I noticed it was missing today!Just happened to have the camera that day at the right moment.
Until next time..Keep Smiling.

Hi Jorge,
Thank you for your kind words.
There are lots of rednecks in Montana, but they are not ignorant, just want to keep their guns and dogs and horses. I, personally, like the ignorant ones we have in Louisiana better. If you\’re going to be a redneck, we should be able to laugh at you!
Betty
Dear Jorge,
Sorry. I\’ve been out of the States so long that I don\’t what a redneck is! What or who is it? I have a vague memmory of what it might be but I don\’t want to take chances. Is it by chance someone from the South of the United States with particiular personality traits? Can you fill me in?
Best,
Jill
Rednecks are people too! I used to have a hard time with that given all the racial strife in this landof ours. But, once you get a clear look at yourself, it is easy to accept others – even with their frailties and faults.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a Loving word – I should have a new post by Monday. Miss you too…
